Why it evolved
The abundance of food and resources on Obsidian Sea has driven selection for larger body size, as individuals capable of consuming and processing more material thrive. The immense gravity and frigid temperatures of this world necessitate an even more robust shell to support this increased mass and maintain structural integrity. However, this specialization comes at the cost of increased dependence on the now-plentiful mineral veins, making the Cryo-Colossus vulnerable to localized resource depletion, a boom-bust cycle amplified by the shifting ice plates.
