Why it evolved
The collapse of its usual food sources forces the Famine Fins to become more efficient at acquiring and processing calories. Its elongated body allows it to probe into tighter spaces for hidden prey like the Reed Snail, and its digestive system has evolved to extract maximum energy from scarcer meals. This increased metabolic demand comes at the cost of slightly reduced maneuverability, making it more vulnerable to the ambush tactics of the Mud-Stalker in the Tethys Shallows' open water.
