Drought Winger
Evo 2FlyerEats anythingAerialResilientShaped by 🏜️ drought
A smaller, more robust flyer with dorsal humps for water storage and leathery skin to minimize evaporative loss, it is now less reliant on the scarce brine pools.

Why it evolved
The prolonged drought on the Ghostlight Plains, where super-saline brines are the only water source, selects for individuals capable of enduring longer periods without access to liquid. This descendant has evolved water-storing humps, similar to desert animals on Earth, and a thickened, less permeable epidermis to reduce water loss in the thin, dry atmosphere. This adaptation comes at the cost of increased weight, necessitating a reduction in wing surface area and thus reducing its aerial maneuverability and ability to stay aloft for extended periods.
