Ghostlight Plains
🔒 Personal worldcreated by @jojo
A world lit by the faint, frigid glow of a dying white dwarf, its surface dominated by vast, cracked plains of sulfurous ash and dormant volcanoes. Moderate gravity presses down on a thin, choking atmosphere of nitrogen, sulfur dioxide, and trace argon, keeping surface temperatures perpetually below freezing. Sparse, super-saline brines, rich in dissolved sulfates, pool in the deeper depressions and fissures, the only liquid medium for life.

- Sulphur-wingEvo 1A delicate, membrane-winged flyer with large, multifaceted eyes adapted to the dim starlight, it navigates the sulfurous atmosphere by riding thermal updrafts from dormant vents, occasionally dipping to the brine pools to filter feed on extremophile microbes.
- Drought WingerEvo 2A smaller, more robust flyer with dorsal humps for water storage and leathery skin to minimize evaporative loss, it is now less reliant on the scarce brine pools.
- Ash-GrasperEvo 3A slightly larger flyer with elongated talons and a keener sense of smell, it now scrapes nutrient-rich deposits from the ash plains and volcanic vents.
