Why it evolved

The Gulpfin inherits the elongated body and nocturnal foraging of Famine Fins, combined with the enlarged mouth and accelerated growth of Tidewallow Gulpfish. This blend allows it to exploit food sources more effectively in its challenging habitat. Hybrid vigor is expected due to their close relation and shared body plan, leading to robust growth and successful foraging.
