Why it evolved

The unusual abundance of food on JoJoLands has driven the Resonant Ash Weaver towards gigantism, favouring larger individuals that can better exploit the surplus. This increased size, coupled with an escalated Resonance-organ, allows it to dominate prey and defend against the larger Ash Strider threats. However, this massive growth requires a significantly higher caloric intake, making the species highly vulnerable to resource scarcity and potentially slower to reproduce due to the energy demands of development. The planet's pervasive ashfall still necessitates the ash-resistant exoskeleton, but the larger size makes it a more imposing target for other large predators.
