The introduction of a new, effective predator on the volcanic sky-islands has driven the evolution of enhanced evasion tactics. The Umbral Sylph has developed a 'Resonance Cloak' ability, allowing it to manipulate its natural ash-dusted plumage to create a visual distortion field, rendering it difficult to track against the backdrop of ash clouds, a key feature of JoJoLands' volcanic environment. This adaptation comes at the cost of reduced wing surface area for maneuverability, making sustained flight in thin, ash-laden air more energetically demanding and potentially hindering its ability to carry heavy prey.
