Why it evolved
This hybrid blends the chemosensory acuity and tentacle structure of the Umbral Lure with the reproductive investment and passive drifting of the Abyssal Courtier. The reduced visual acuity of Parent A is partially compensated by the Courtier's enhanced pheromone dispersal, creating a chemosensory lure. The trade-off is a significantly reduced metabolic rate and tentacle strength, making it less effective at active predation. Due to the distant relation, this hybrid is likely sterile and exhibits instability, with its internalized gonads a risky adaptation to protect against the Courtier's vulnerability.
